Should Nurses have tattoos?

After reading some articles on nursing I came across an interesting one, it was a study examining how patients older than 46 years old viewed nurses with tattoos. I thought the results were pretty interesting because the results varied depending on the patient’s condition. Patients that were in more delicate condition didn’t care if there patients had tattoos or not, as long as they were helpful, kind, and warmhearted. But on the other had patients that were more conscious of their surroundings were a little more hesitant about having a nurse care of them. I thought it was ironic because patients are more open about nurses with tattoos based on their condition as a patient.

Something that came to my attention today was that Hospitals are more lenient  and open minded to the fact of having tattoos when a male nurse has them. I came to the realization this occurs due to the fact that all hosptials and clinics are lacking male nurses
